My Review / Thoughts:

I saw the third installment of this book on my friend Tressa's blog (Tressa's Wishful Endings) so I decided to look the series up.  She seems to like the same kinds of books I do, so when I saw she had a countdown for the next release I knew it was a series I was probably going to like.  So, that led me to Cinder.  

I think this may be one of my favorite interpretations of the Cinderella story :).  It's such a different approach and I just really enjoyed reading it.

You get the same feel in this Cinderella story.  A stepmother who hates her, and two step sisters.  Although in this version she has a step sister that actually likes her, and they are friends.  Cinder is a cyborg and is considered a disgrace.  I LOVE her.  She has such a feisty personality.  She's not a pushover, which I think is why I love this interpretation so much more.  I love that she stands up for herself, not that it does her much good, but she is such a great, strong character.

The minute Prince Kai is introduced I knew he was going to be "Prince Charming" and that they were going to have a connection, and it's so great.  Cinder and Kai have a fun relationship...if you can call it that ;).

The whole intergalactic concept is so great.  It's so fun.  There are so many characters in this book that I love.  There are some that are good "love to hate" characters as well.  The Lunar Queen being one, and of course the horrible step mother and one of the step sisters.

Cinder is a mechanic forced to work to pay for her step mothers way of life.  She has a sidekick in the form of an android with a "faulty" personality chip, who is one of my favorite characters as well.  She has a chance meeting with Prince Kai when he comes to her booth in the market to have her fix his android.  Things seems to spiral from there.  The plague is found in the market and her step sister comes down with it.  Her stepmother blames her.  Turns her over to the royal doctors, and life gets even more complicated.  Nothing is what it seems and there are so many twists and turn in this book.  I couldn't put this book down.  I cannot wait to finish the series!

It was fun, exciting, and all around just a good book!
