Description:
Calla has always welcomed war.
But now that the final battle is upon her, there's more at stake than fighting. There's saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay's wrath. There's keeping Ansel safe, even if he's been branded a traitor. There's proving herself as the pack's alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers' magic once and for all. And then there's deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is. In this remarkable final installment of the Nightshade trilogy, international bestselling author Andrea Cremer crafts a dynamic novel with twists and turns that will keep you breathless until its final pages.

My Review / Thoughts:
Dang....Dang...Dang....I do NOT like it when a series doesn't end well. It ruins the whole thing for me. Having said that there are still things I liked about this book. The characters (Except Calla in this one). They are so great. I have been loving them from the beginning, and still love them...again EXCEPT Calla.
2 things happened in this book that just kind of made it "blah" for me. I wish I could tell you what they were but then it would ruin it if you haven't read it. BUT, If you have, then you probably know what I am talking about anyway.
Calla is way to coarse with Ren and Shay's feelings. I understand she has a bond with both, but I do not like where this triangle goes. It makes me a little disappointed. Having said that, I LOVE REN. I didn't like him so much in the beginning, but I sure like him in this book (DANG IT ;)). I think that my favorite character out of the whole series has to be Connor. I love his quick whit, and his ability to make everyone laugh. He has been consistent through the series, and I love him.
I don't know what else to say because everything else I have to say will ruin the book for those who haven't finished. I am just bummed it ended the way it did.

Two things I loved about this book - 1 - The Narrator and 2 - The Cover. The book had that going for it :).

I have seen so many sad reviews for this one it makes me not want to start the series at all. :(
ReplyDeleteGreat honest review Becca, sorry this was such a disappointment.
I did too, and didn't want to believe them. It just makes me so sad when a series doesn't end well :(
DeleteI read the first book in this series but didn't love it as much as everyone else. I didn't pick up the following books and I guess I'm glad I didn't. If books don't end well, I have such a hard time! Thanks for the honest review!
ReplyDeleteMe also. It makes me so sad when a series doesn't end well :(
DeleteI'm sorry that this ended so terribly. I also hate when books end badly. That's why certain series are my favorite, because not only are they good, but the ending is perfect and encompasses the ENTIRE series.
ReplyDeleteI know.....:(
