So I am sending a GIANT thanks to Stacey R. Campbell for sending me the books so we can have a give away. She mailed me two books, and some book marks, and some pins for me to give away. I am sorry that it has to be US only. I cannot thank Stacey R. Campbell enough for allowing me to host this giveaway on my blog. You are an amazing author, and I hope to read more of your books in the future! You are an inspiration.
So what is in the give away??? Like I said above, a autographed copy of HUSH and WHISPER, a signed book mark, and signed note cards, and two pins that say "I Know Who You Are" and "Are You a Princess"(...read the books and you will know what they mean:).
You can find my review for HUSH here
and my review for WHISPER here.
You can add the books to your GoodReads by clicking the picture. Hopefully I set it up right and it should take you right to the GoodReads page :).
Stacey R. Campbell lives in the Pacific North West with her husband, three daughters, three dogs, and a pet turtle named Todd. She is a graduate of the University of Washington. At an early age she was told that she would never be the writer because of her dyslexia, but finally found that she could not look her children in the eyes and tell them that they could be what ever they wanted if she did not do the same. Now Stacey can't stop writing and loves to help children pursue their own dreams. Hush is the first book in the Lakeview Novel series.

I read a book about a character with dyslexia not long ago. The author has dyslexia too. The font of the book was printed especially for people with dyslexia to make it easier to read. The book is Counting to D. While the book wasn't my favorite, I really did appreciate knowing more about the struggle people with dyslexia have. What a difficult and frustrating thing. Thanks for sharing such a personal thing with us. Awesome giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and letting me know about the book! It is a difficult and frustrating thing to watch him go through, but he is amazing!
DeleteI love when a book hits home and you can connect with the story and even the author.
ReplyDeleteMy brother struggled with this growing up as well (and still does as an adult). I remember how challenging it was for him and frustrating. He is an avid reader now and loves to read but there for awhile it was torture for him.
It is torture. It's a little mind blowing to me because I never personally struggled with it. But watching your child struggle is heart breaking! He is doing very well now though and is learning to deal with it! Thanks so much for stopping by :)
DeleteShe sounds as if she has an inspirational story!
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is to me!!!
DeleteIt's so great that this author is so inspiring to you and your son. It must be hard to watch him struggle but conquering this will give him the confidence to tackle anything!

That is my hope :)
DeleteI am so excited to read these books. I think it is so awesome that Campell quoted you on her blog. I love when authors are not afraid to share that they have dyslexia, or other disabilities. It shows that if you put your mind to it, you can truly do anything you put your mind to.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome - that she's having you do a giveaway!!! How fun! I know you loved these. I'll be sure to spread the word.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tressa :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to find a book that you can connect with personally. Thanks for sharing these books--they sound fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI really did connect personally. :) I am always so grateful when I find someone who is willing to share their personal struggle with Dyslexia. It helps to show my son that there ARE others out there AND that he can accomplish anything he sets his mind to :)
DeleteThanks for coming by an entering :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so awesome that these books inspired you! Not only does an author affect us with their words, but their lives can inspire us too!
